Parking management Curaçao pays only 6 of 24 million to the government

Local | By Correspondent November 2, 2021

WILLEMSTAD - Parking Management Curaçao has collected the parking fees in the center of Willemstad for years and has raked in a total of 24 million guilders with this work.

The company has been appointed by the government for this job, but has not paid all parking fees to the government. A report published yesterday by the Court of Audit shows that Parking Management Curaçao still has to pay 6 million guilders to the Curaçao government.

The contract with Parking Management has expired and therefore parking in the city center is now free. It is not known when a new party will be appointed to collect the parking fees.
