“Parliament does not take SER seriously”

Local | By Correspondent October 22, 2020

WILLEMSTAD - The Advisory Council (RvA) has stated in a letter that it will return private bill initiatives if the advice of the Social and Economic Council (SER) has not been incorporated into this.

The RvA found that often this was not the case. The Board gave six examples of this, including the National Ordinance Real Estate Tax and the private member's bill for changes to the profit tax. The Advisory Council will therefore not deal with this until the SER advice has been incorporated into these bill proposals.
