WILLEMSTAD - Rennox Calmes was released this morning, according to the Public Prosecution Service. Two others, including his partner, were also released. All three remain suspects as the investigation continues.
Calmes was arrested on Thursday morning on suspicion of forgery. The former police officer is accused of falsifying his partner's salary information.
The woman recently started working as a faction employee for Calmes in the parliament. Her salary is based on her last salary at a local bank. By inflating this figure, her salary as a faction employee increased. The forgery was discovered by the President of Parliament who immediately filed a report to the police.
