WILLEMSTAD - The Member of Parliament for the coalition party PAR, Curtley Obispo wants the Ministry of Traffic and Transportation to introduce new number plates in 2020. According to the MP, that way 30 million guilders can be earned by the government.
At the same time, the MP says, this could put an end to the illegal situation with license plates from 1999 that are still in circulation.
There are reports that there are forged license plates being used.
