WILLEMSTAD - After almost 10 successful years as General Manager at Floris Suite Hotel, Frank Holtslag is going to start for himself. The success formula with which Holtslag has always managed his hotels is the intimate and small-scale boutique hotel concept, with an emphasis on personal service and quality. With his own hotel management company, Holtslag enters into a partnership with the owners of Bayside Boutique Hotel in Blue Bay Resort as per December first.
"We are currently in the process of a thorough renovation to get the hotel to a 4 star+ level. Despite the fact that the hotel is only 6 years old, I think it is important to create a completely new look and feel that is entirely tailored to the contemporary needs and measures around Covid-19. Within a unique concept, with guests who like to stay stylish and comfortable we are going to make it a wonderful time. The hotel is suitable for both holidaymakers and visitors who have a business stay on the island. It's a big step in this uncertain time, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I have pledged my heart to Curaçao and we are going to make it a beautiful hotel concept."
Bayside Boutique Hotel is a stone's throw from Blue Bay beach, has 36 well-appointed rooms, a swimming pool, a gym and offers a variety of special events opportunities. The restaurant will offer a completely new fine-dining concept for the island and opens under the name The Tides @ Bayside Boutique Hotel. The hotel bar, called Calypso Bar @ Bayside Boutique Hotel is also open to guests from outside who like to come and have a drink. The name is inspired by the famous ship of Jacques Cousteau. The bar has a maritime atmosphere, with good music, finger foods and cocktails served by the best bartenders of Curaçao.
