WILLEMSTAD - With a month delay, motorists can pay their vehicle tax for 2022 from Monday. The rates have not changed compared to last year. The stickers that are issued after payment have a yellow combination with magenta as the color. The half year stickers are green with magenta.
Prices
Owners of older petrol passenger cars pay 271 guilders for the whole year. If drivers opt for two terms, they will pay 145 guilders each time. From year 2014 drivers pay 394 guilders for the whole year and 206.50 guilders for half a year.
Diesel drivers are cheaper at the gas station, but the vehicle tax is considerably more expensive. A whole year will cost them 1152 guilders and 585.50 for half a year.
Cheaper rates apply for taxis and buses and vehicles for which an exemption has been granted, such as school transport. Heavier vehicles, such as trucks, pay a much more expensive rate.
Payment
When paying, an inspection card must always be presented and the tax card from the previous year, 2021 in this case. Those who did not pay the previous year have to do so now.
They can pay at the Tax Office in the WTC, the Tax Office in the Edenmall on the Caracasbaaiweg, ACU in Zuikertuin and Sta. Maria and at CPost International at Groot Kwartier, Punda, Otrobanda, and Santa Rosa.
