WILLEMSTAD - The Venezuelan state oil company PdVSA must leave the refinery just as it was when theytook over the Isla from shell. Owner RdK says that the maintenance and condition of the installations must be in order before a new operator takes over.
The lease contract with the Venezuelans ends on December 31 of this year. PdVSA also denies that maintenance is overdue. Isla is also lagging behind with payments for the use of water, electricity and steam. $ 26 million by now.
