WILLEMSTAD - The Venezuelan State Oil Company PdVSA is again interested in operating the Isla refinery. A delegation from the Venezuelan oil giant was recently in Curaçao.
A delegation was also visiting in August. The state oil company still has to pay severance payments and has been sentenced by the judge in Curaçao for arrears of more than 50 million dollars. That money has still not been paid.
A lawsuit is currently pending in New York, where the Curaçao Refinery (Rdk) is also claiming over $ 50 million from PdVSA.
