WILLEMSTAD - With the upcoming departure of the Venezuelan state company PdVSA, the refinery will stop some of its activities on the island.
As of November 1, deposits to the health insurance fund for Isla-pensioners will be stopped, the supply of water and electricity to the golf course and Asiento will be stopped, as will the supply of electricity and water to six houses on the road to Bullenbaai that were never connected to the Aqualectra network.
It is not clear whether this can simply be stopped according to the agreements. It is unclear whether potential acquirer Klesch Group takes over all those responsibilities.
