WILLEMSTAD - The temporary fuel subsidy will expire at the end of December. Until the end of this year, public companies Curoil and Curaçao Refinery (RdK) will absorb 17 cents per liter. The Minister of Economic Development Ruisdandro Cijntje wants to extend this agreement for another six months.
Curoil agrees. RdK still has to approve, but that goes through the Ministry of General Affairs. That is why Minister Cijntje has submitted a request to Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas. The minister expects a reply within two weeks.
