PIN: “We go for more seats in parliament”

Local | By Correspondent August 6, 2020

WILLEMSTAD - Partido Inovashon Nashonal (PIN) will not be beaten now that Rennox Calmes has moved with the only seat in parliament. On the contrary. The party is aiming for three seats in the elections next March.

"We have more visible influence within a coalition," said PIN leader Suzanne Camelia-Römer. The striving for more seats is strongly expressed on the party’s Facebook page: "Suzy Camelia-Römer: We will continue ... from 0 to 3!", The message goes.

After the elections in 2017, PIN obtained one seat in parliament, which was held until last month by Rennox Calmes. Calmes broke with the party, remained in parliament as an independent MP. Camelia-Römer, who founded the party in March 2017, does not expect the issue to frustrate PIN's ambitions. "It is of course annoying, but we will continue as usual.”
