ORANJESTAD - Outgoing Prime Minister of Aruba Evelyn Wever-Croes stated yesterday that she had no contact with Gilmar "Pik" Pisas when he recently visited Aruba. In doing so, she refutes reports circulating in the media that the Aruban prime minister would have refused to receive her intended colleague.

She says she would never refuse a request from a colleague from the Kingdom for a meeting. However, she has not received a request for a meeting from Pisas. "As far as I know, he was in Aruba for a private visit," said the Aruban prime minister.

"Of course our doors are always open for our colleagues from Curacao," Wever-Croes told the website 24ora.com.
