WILLEMSTAD - Gilmar "Pik" Pisas is likely to be appointed the new leader of the largest opposition party in parliament, the MFK this week. He was the only candidate to sign up so far. That was announced by board chairman Dorothy Pietersz-Janga.
Founder and former MFK party leader Gerrit Schotte is not eligible for election in the coming years due to his sentencing in a corruption case and will therefore not participate in the parliamentary elections.
Yet Pietersz-Janga says that Schotte "will always remain their leader and greatest advisor."
