WILLEMSTAD - Police arrested a man at Hato airport on Friday. The 22-year-old man had behaved aggressively on the incoming KLM flight.
The suspect allegedly got into an argument with a family member who was also traveling during the flight. The man behaved very aggressively and a fight broke out on board. He also assaulted a flight attendant.
The situation caused a lot of panic among other passengers. KLM staff eventually got the 22-year-old man under control and handed him over to the airport police. An investigation into the exact cause of the incident is ongoing. The suspect has been taken into pre-trial detention and must report to the examining magistrate on Monday.
