WILLEMSTAD - A week after their escape from the SDKK barracks, the Curaçao police made a call to thirteen undocumented Venezuelan men who escaped on November 17 and are still on the run. According to the police, the men can best report to the police. That way, they can return to Venezuela on a special flight on December 1. If they do not report, according to the police, they will eventually run into trouble in Curaçao.
Authorities tell the fugitive men it is best to return before November 26.
Seventeen undocumented Venezuelans escaped early evening on Tuesday, November 17, from the foreigners’ barracks on the premises of the SDKK prison. Prison guards raised the alarm about this at 6:30. The seventeen men had made a hole in a concrete wall, so they escaped. Four people from the group have now been arrested again.
