WILLEMSTAD - The police cells in Barber have been renovated. The complex will be available for the Curaçao Police Force and the Ministry of Justice from next week. The surveillance is done by a government-appointed security company.

The renovation took five months. The renovated complex has sixteen cells for two people and two for one person. There are also two separate rooms for one person. In this, someone is isolated or imprisoned in connection with illness or investigation.

Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas visited the complex on Friday. According to the government press release, Pisas has ensured that the renovation is completed more quickly.
