WILLEMSTAD - The police started checking motorcycles and mopeds yesterday. During the first check, the Vehicle Identification Number is inspected, among other things.
The Minister of Transport had previously announced that the controls would come.
Checks will continue at various locations on the island until 12 July. After that date, all vehicles that do not have an original VIN number will be removed from the road.
