WILLEMSTAD - The police confirm that the young man who was involved in a car accident three weeks ago has died. The report comes two days after his death.
This is the accident between two vehicles that took place in the evenings on 13 June. Another driver tried to pass several cars in a traffic jam at high speed and collided frontally with the young man's car. Afterward it became clear that this driver who caused the accident was under the influence of alcohol.
According to the police report, after the accident, the young man laid in a coma for several weeks and he fought for his life. A few days ago, he left the hospital and was admitted to a care home, hoping that he would recover.
On September 28, Marlyson Magno Sommer lost the fight for his life at the age of 24 and died. He is the fifth traffic fatality this year.
