WILLEMSTAD - The police hit the jackpot yesterday when they seized a large quantity of illegal drugs in the Rio Canario area. More than a hundred kilos of cocaine were hidden in wheelie bins at an address on the Punta Cardonweg.
The three residents, a 57-year-old man, a 47-year-old woman and their 20-year-old son were arrested immediately. The drugs have since been burned. Six people were arrested in three raids on addresses in Buena Vista. In addition to drugs, items originating from burglaries and robberies were also found there.
Three people have now been released.
