Local | By Correspondent December 22, 2025

WILLEMSTAD – The Kuerpo Polisial Kòrsou has continued intensified enforcement actions as part of the “Fin di Aña Sin Zanzaña” campaign, aimed at reducing insecurity and ensuring public order during the year-end period.

According to a police press release issued on December 21, 2025, officers carried out extensive controls from Saturday, December 20, through Sunday, December 21, at multiple locations across the island. The operations focused on maintaining public order, tranquility, and traffic safety.

Vehicles and Motorcycles Confiscated

During the controls, police removed seven private vehicles and five motorcycles from public roads. Two of the confiscated vehicles were seized due to the installation of illegal “fever” lights.

Authorities reported that most of the confiscated vehicles lacked valid documentation. Drivers involved were issued official citations as a result of these violations.

Arrests for Driving Under the Influence

Police also detained two drivers for operating vehicles under the influence of alcohol. The arrests took place along Pater Eeuwensweg and in the Janwé area.

Continued Police Presence

The police emphasized that enforcement efforts will continue in the coming days, with a strong and visible presence throughout Curaçao. These operations are being conducted in cooperation with partner agencies, including VKC, CurMil, Politur, and the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee (KMar).

According to the police, the sole objective of these actions is to guarantee a safe, orderly, and peaceful end of the year for all residents and visitors on the island.
