WILLEMSTAD - Six officers who carried out several house searches last year, each time made off with the money and drugs they found. In most cases, it was about marijuana.
The officers entered six homes in September 2020 and seized drugs and money, but never returned these seized items. At one of the houses they entered, the amount of money they found was too small to distribute, so they used that money for their 'coffee club'.
Agents Balyn, Janga, Rodriquez, Dorand, Overman and Tomsjansen had to appear in court yesterday in connection with theft/embezzlement of money and drugs, falsification of official reports, and abuse of power as an agent.
