WILLEMSTAD - The three police unions NAPB, SAP and STrAF have filed a lawsuit against the government, the Minister of Justice, and the governor. The unions disagree with the fact that Jules Ilario has been appointed to the position of chief of police.
According to the unions, the appointment took place without an application procedure. As a result, other colleagues at the police have been duped. As a result, people who might also be interested in that position were not able to apply. According to the three unions, the government has missed its chance to appoint someone qualified who can actually make a difference.
