Police unions want answer from minister

Local | By Correspondent December 23, 2020

WILLEMSTAD - Members of the SAP and NAPB police unions tried to sit down with Justice Minister Quincy Girigorie yesterday. The unions have been waiting for a decision on their legal position for a long time. Girigorie said yesterday that he did not want to meet with the unions. Representatives of the trade unions then said that they had had enough with the minister's attitude.

The members of the trade unions are now considering possible actions.

The legal position of agents has been a hot topic for a long time. Unions have been asking the minister to provide clarity for some time.
