WILLEMSTAD - Due to the poor condition of some school buildings, Education Minister Sithree van Heydoorn has mixed feelings about his visit to the schools that reopened on Thursday.
According to the minister, it was great to see the happy faces of the children and teachers, but the poor condition of some buildings left a deep impression.
The minister understands that budget cuts are necessary, but considers this a very important subject. The minister also expressed his appreciation for the school materials donated by Dutch organizations.
