WILLEMSTAD - Government officials have had several meetings in recent days with interest groups for the Curaçao entertainment world AMAK and KIF.
In doing so, the government has responded to the request from the organizations to meet and to find a solution for the showbiz world in Curacao. It is currently in a precarious situation. According to the Curaçao Music and Artist Association (AMAK), the talks went well and there are positive signs.
During the meetings it was discussed how activities can be gradually organized again, taking into account all COVID regulations.
In addition, it was also examined to what extent people from the entertainment world, who now receive compensation from the NOW scheme, can continue to count on income. AMAK and KIF hope to reach definitive agreements with the government today at a new meeting.
