THE HAGUE - Elderly people in the Caribbean Netherlands do not have enough money to provide for their basic necessities. That is what the Dutch Ombudsman says in Bonaire.
The ombudsman did a research and published his findings yesterday. Older people often lead an unworthy life. The Dutch government must take the islands seriously and make poverty reduction a priority.
