BOGOTA - Prime Minister Eugene Rhuggenaath traveled to Medellin this week to represent the Government of Curaçao during the OAS 49th General Assembly. The theme of this 49th General Assembly in Colombia is “Innovating to Strengthen Hemispheric Multilateralism" and Prime Minister Rhuggenaath had the honor to address the assembly representing the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
During the conference, there was a presentation of the results of an investigation of the OAS workgroup that investigated the impact the Venezuelan migration has on neighboring countries, including in Curaçao.
Prime Minister Rhuggenaath, had the opportunity to exchange information and ideas with other countries in the region on the presentation and recommendations. Also, ample opportunity was presented to have bilateral meetings with important relationships as CARICOM, Dominican Republic, Colombia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Barbados and Trinidad & Tobago.
