WILLEMSTAD - Last week, Prime Minister Rhuggenaath invited the Travel Verification Team (RVT) of the Legislation and Legal Affairs department at the Ministry of General Affairs to his office to express his appreciation for the good work that this team has done in the last couple of months.
On March 13 the borders were 'closed' as Curacao moved into crisis mode due to COVID-19. In order to make it possible to let in travelers from 'high risk' countries and for whom permission must be requested, the RVT was set up under the Commander-in-Chief (Minister of General Affairs).
The employees of this process & permission counter have worked tirelessly to process all the incoming requests. The prime minister recognized the importance to take the time to let colleagues know that their work is seen and appreciated.
