Local | By Correspondent November 25, 2020

WILLEMSTAD - The Princess Margriet School is closed from today until December 1. The Public Schools Department announced this yesterday. Several members of the school team have tested positive for COVID-19. Several teachers have also been quarantined. After consultation with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, it was decided to close the school for the time being. Parents will be informed about homework and alternative curricula starting today. The intention is that the school will reopen on December 2.

COVID infections among the school team have also previously occurred at other schools on Curaçao, which usually remained open. But in the case of the Princess Margriet School, regular education can no longer take place due to the many infections, the Public Schools Department has announced. There is no information if there are also infected students.
