Princess Wilhelmina Fund Foundation, Ronald McDonald House Charities Curaçao and Medical Center join forces on World Children's

Local | By Press release February 15, 2021

WILLEMSTAD - February 15 is World Children's Cancer Day. Then we consider children with cancer, children who have survived cancer and the experiences of family members.

Children with cancer often have a strong character. They are also an inspiration to many. They are a good example that cancer is a curative disease. They are positive, spirited and motivate new cancer patients and their relatives to go through this difficult phase. Children with cancer have fought a battle. They are strong and considered an idol.

On Curaçao, attention is also paid to this special day. Wilhelmina Fund Foundation, Ronald McDonald House Charities Curaçao together with Curaçao Medical Center are organizing an inspiring morning for family members of children who have survived cancer. A great time to share their experiences and to be a listening ear for each other.

It is important to consider the fact that children with cancer in Curaçao often have to go abroad for initial treatment. They usually stay away from friends and relatives for a long time. Princess Wilhelmina Fund and Ronald McDonald House Charities Curaçao have been working together for 9 years to guide families in this intensive process. To continue with this demanding work, we need your financial support. To contribute, you can visit the following websites: www.rmhccuracao.org   www.prinseswilhelminafonds.cw.
