Prison visits slowly back to normal

Local | By Correspondent June 14, 2022

WILLEMSTAD - The SDKK prison is adjusting the visit protocol. While the Curaçao community has more or less returned to a pre-covid level and measures have been phased out, the management of the SDKK prison is not yet that far, but visiting hours have been extended again.

This does not apply to the facemask, which must still be worn.

But prisoners are allowed to receive visitors again, four in total at the same time. Children are also allowed to visit but must be accompanied by at least one adult. For example, three children and one parent are allowed. Just like two parents and two children. One of the children remains standing during the visit.

The dress code continues to be strict. Flip-flops are not allowed, nor are shorts or jeans that have been 'cut up'. Sleeveless blouses are also not allowed.

The virtual visiting hours will remain for the time being.
