Program celebration Dia di Banera

WILLEMSTAD - The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (OWCS) has announced the program of the celebration of Dia di Bandera (Flag Day) for tomorrow July 2, 2021. The ministry emphasizes that the corona measures still apply and that gatherings are not allowed. Therefore, there will be no tribune on Brionplein in Otrabanda.

Today on Emancipation Day, there will be a ceremony on Brionplein starting at five o'clock in which Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas will present a report on the consequences of slavery. Tomorrow morning, the celebration of Flag Day will start at 7 a.m. with the presence of the entire Pisas Cabinet and the governor. The flag will be raised on Brionplein and there will be performances by, among others, Randel Corsen, Richardt Engelhardt, Dibod and the winner of Un Kanto pa Kòrsou Ronailys Libiee – Casimiri.
