WILLEMSTAD - The Ministry of Health, Environment and Nature has set up a project group to initiate a vaccination program against Covid-19. The project group will be supported by general practitioners on the island. The vaccine will be made available for Curaçao shortly. However, no date has yet been set.
The vaccine will in principle be ready for use in the Netherlands and on the Caribbean islands of the Kingdom next month.
In order to be well prepared, general practitioners are asked to determine the various risk groups. These groups will receive the vaccine as a priority. The first group to be vaccinated are people over 18 years of age with intellectual disabilities living in an institution and residents of retirement homes.
