WILLEMSTAD - The ProMo foundation objected too late to the construction permit for the Wharf project. This is planned along the Anna Bay in the harbor in the historic Scharloo area. The permit to build was granted in July 2019, but the monument foundation did not reject until February 2020.
The organization believes that the construction of the new apartment complex does not fit in with the unique monumental environment. ProMo only found out late that the building permit had been granted.
The judge believes that this is the fault of the monument foundation itself.
