WILLEMSTAD - The Association of Christian Pastors indicated in a press release that it believes that Curaçao should no longer allow prostitution. The Campo Alegre brothel is closed and according to the pastors, this is the time to stop allowing prostitution.
The association believes that prostitution attracts crime. But the association is also concerned about promoting homosexuality on the island. The association is of the opinion that Curaçao is better off without legalized prostitution and can, therefore, pay more attention to guarding the morals.
