WILLEMSTAD - Opponents of the COHO will hold a rally on Plaza Piar later today. Various organizations within the Kingdom have united against the Kingdom Act on the Caribbean Agency for Recovery and Reforms, or the COHO.
One of the speakers is former minister Suzanne Camelia-Römer. From the start, she has been a fierce opponent of the Kingdom Act imposed by the Netherlands in exchange for the corona loans. One of the objections is that the CAS countries must surrender their autonomy. The countries also have little say in the COHO. The parliaments of Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten and the Netherlands will soon consider this law.
The demonstration next to the Fort Amsterdam government center starts at 5 p.m. and lasts until 9 p.m.
