WILLEMSTAD - The PSB Bank has decided not to take over the accounts for the lottery offices for the time being. PSB director Daniel Hodge indicates that the "riferos" entail too many risks.
This was decided after an internal investigation. Robbie's Lottery is one of them, and they were initially happy that the PSB wanted to accept them as a customer. The MCB had already indicated that it wanted to close the accounts of Robbie's Lottery. Whether these have indeed been closed is not yet known. Robbie Dos Santos was previously convicted of money laundering.
A source indicated that PSB Bank does not have the necessary in-house experience to deal with business accounts. Also, the PSB Bank has its own account at the MCB Bank. This will make it difficult to open accounts for the lottery companies.
