WILLEMSTAD - The court of first instance ruled in favor of the two psychologists Stephen Ebecilio and Mya Albertoe, in their case against the Social Insurance Bank (SVB).
A former public health inspector named Jan Huurman had investigated the work of these two psychologists a few years ago and concluded that the way in which they claimed expenses would be in violation of the rules, this now appears to be unjustified.
At the time, the psychologists were denounced as fraudsters on social media, following Huurman’s reports.
The lawyer representing these two psychologists says that the money that the SVB has now wrongly withheld from these psychologists must be repaid. The psychologists are especially happy that this will partly restore their good name and honor and hope for better times in the relationship with the SVB and that the SVB will also make the effort to contribute to the repair of the reputation damage they have caused.”
