WILLEMSTAD - The Public Prosecution Service (OM) has withdrawn all Covid cases. The public prosecutor's office is discussing further handling of the violations of the corona measures.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, the government has taken measures at various times. Not everyone has complied with the measures and several citizens and companies have been fined for violations of the measures.
A number of people had to appear in court on Wednesday to answer. After the handling of the first cases, it appeared that the sentences imposed deviated greatly from the demands of the Public Prosecution Service.
The Public Prosecution Service then decided to withdraw the other cases in order to consider how to further handle the prosecution of those who did not comply with the corona measures.
