WILLEMSTAD - Pullmantur Cruceros has filed for bankruptcy. The Spanish cruise company can no longer pay its debts.
Pullmantur is partly owned by Royal Caribbean Cruises in Miami. The cruise line had previously canceled cruises until November 15 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The curator is now going to see whether a reorganization offers any relief. Pullmantur's fleet consists of three ships: the Horizon, the Monarch and the Sovereign. They regularly visit Curaçao.
