WILLEMSTAD - The historic Emma Bridge is back in service. The Swinging Old Lady has been in maintenance for a month but made her first "swing" again on Thursday.
Curaçao Ports Authority has replaced the main beam of the pontoon bridge. It is located at the beginning of the bridge on the Punda side. The bridge had to be partially removed for this.
The whole operation started on March 22 and took a little longer than planned. During this month, the public was able to use the ferry services between Punda and Otrobanda.
