ORANJESTAD, WILLEMSTAD - The investigation regarding the Avestruz (ostrich) case continues. Raids have taken place in both Aruba and Curacao.
The trust office is located in Belgiestraat in Aruba and the other one in Curacao. The Investigation Team RST and Landsrecherche ordered the investigation. The trust office belongs to the L. family. What exactly was searched for is not known. Items important for the investigation is said to have been seized.
Both investigations are running simultaneously. Avestruz was started first, followed by the Flamingo investigation. The Avestruz case has former Aruban minister Benny Sevinger as a suspect, while the Flamingo case has former minister Otmar Oduber as a suspect.
Former minister Benny Sevinger has not been questioned and several other suspects have not been questioned either.
