WILLEMSTAD - In a press release, the Curaçao Refinery (RdK) and the Curaçao Oil Refinery Complex (CORC) announced that they have taken a step closer to reaching an agreement with the signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This specific step marks the beginning of the final negotiation phase.
RdK indicates that representatives of both parties have been doing their utmost to finalize the agreement on short term and have negotiated intensively. The MoU is now signed and the common objective to reach an agreement for the operation of the refinery entails that parties will clarify all matters and will continue with the process of approval.
RdK also states that all parties have agreed to continue negotiations in good faith with the objective to reach a definitive understanding on March 18, 2021.
