WILLEMSTAD - Refineria di Kòrsou (RdK) cannot pay the debt that Isla / PDVSA has with its ex-employees. This is according to RdK director Marcelino de Lannoy. This declaration came after statements made by Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas in local media that the ex-employees will be paid by the country of Curaçao or from the funds of the RdK.
According to de Lannoy, it is not in RdK's interest to pay the debts of third parties. He has been asked by the government to investigate to what extent RdK can pay the debt but has already indicated that such a thing cannot in any case be done immediately.
