WILLEMSTAD - The Chief Executive Officer of the Curaçao Refinery, RdK, denies having seized all properties of the PdVSA’s subsidiary company Isla. Isla announced this yesterday in a letter to the employees and the unions. Isla stated that crude oil, oil derived products, equipment, furniture , and inventory.
The owner of the refinery installations did, however, seize money from Aqualectra intended for the refinery. Isla has a $ 45 million debt with RdK.
Employees of the Isla angrily went to the house of RdK director Marcelino de Lannoy last night to get his side of the story. The employees were angry because if it is true that RdK placed a lien on PdVSA, they will not get paid.
