Local | By Correspondent May 10, 2022

WILLEMSTAD - The Ministry of Health, Environment and Nature has launched a recall for Kinder chocolate and Maza hummus.

The bacteria salmonella has been discovered in various Kinder products. This bacterium can be very dangerous and can cause diarrhea and fever, among other things. This concerns chocolate with the following best before dates: 15, 22 and 29 April, 21 August and 13 September 2022.

A bacterium has also been found in Maza's hummus, which can cause a food infection. In most cases, the expiration date of the hummus has already passed two months. It concerns Maza Esenfaj 200 grams with an expiry date of March 19 and Maza Hoemoes less salt 200 grams with an expiry date of March 28, 2022.

Ministry inspectors will be touring supermarkets to see if all the affected products have been removed from the shelves. If consumers have a product with these expiry dates, they are strongly advised not to use it.
