WILLEMSTAD - Curaçaoans who first worked at the Isla refinery have been making the switch to refineries and ports in the area in and around Rotterdam for some time. This was announced by the Rotterdam mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb recently during a press conference in the building of the Representation of the Netherlands on his conclusion of a working visit to Curaçao.
The Rotterdam mayor said that he believes this is a bad thing was because the island would lose good professionals who would no longer be there when the refinery started up again.
