WILLEMSTAD - Federashon Futbòl Kòrsou (FFK) is once again in negotiations with Dick Advocaat for the position of head coach for the national soccer team. This was announced by the soccer association through a press release.
FFK hopes to conclude the negotiations this month, allowing preparations for the team to proceed for the upcoming matches in March.
If the deal with Advocaat is finalized, it means that Dean Gorré will no longer be the coach of the national team, as agreed upon in September 2023. Gorré was asked to serve as interim coach until a successor was found. The interim coach will continue to lead the national women's team and serve as the Technical & Development Director of the youth team.
In mid-October, the football selection of Curaçao informed FFK that they want Gorré as the head coach. It appears that the football association is not heeding this request.
