WILLEMSTAD - Starting Tuesday, February 13, the Rental Commission of Curaçao will operate from a new location. The commission, previously based in Fort Amsterdam, is relocating to the permit desk in Saliña.
From the mentioned date, citizens can visit the new address of the rental commission in the Eurobuilding in Saliña to submit new requests or obtain information. The opening hours are from Monday to Thursday, from 8 am to 3 pm, and on Friday, from 8 am to 12 pm. Contacting the rental commission is also possible via phone or email.
The rental commission is a government organization that acts as a mediator between tenants and landlords in disputes over issues such as rent, home maintenance, service charges, or other rental matters. The rental commission can be engaged by both tenants and landlords when they cannot reach a resolution on their own.
During the week of February 5 to 9, 2024, the rental commission will still be at the old location in Fort Amsterdam, but the office will only be open from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm in the afternoon.
This relocation is part of the government's efforts to enhance its public services, making them more accessible and user-friendly.
