Repair asphalt starts on Monday

Local | By Correspondent July 19, 2021

WILLEMSTAD - Minister Charles Cooper announced that on Monday the Department of Public Works will start filling potholes at the Yotin Kòrta roundabout and the gas station at the Kolebra Bèrdè cemetery, near Bob Carwash.

According to various reports, the streets there are a complete disaster and an embarrassing display for Curaçao. But the asphalt there also gives drivers a headache.

The asphalt in many places in Curaçao has cracks. Many of the cracks have turned into potholes, and these are a source of tire punctures, mounting outrage and escalating arguments.

Cooper has pledged to speed up temporary repairs to key bottlenecks in Curaçao's road network.
